I know it's not gambling related, but I thought it was very interesting. I copied this from my other blog:
"Scopolamine. What is it, why have we never heard about it and what is it used for? Date rape, hypnosis, robbery, hallucination, and so much more.. How soon until this is an epidemic here and not just in Columbia. I've put together a few items that will help to inform and educate.
Scopolamine - The Devil's Breath This is the link to the video on You0tube. A documentary on the use and abuse of what may be one of the scariest drugs ever. The following is the direct quote from under the video: (Not a family friendly video )
"VICE's Ryan Duffy went to Colombia to check out a strange and powerful drug called Scopolamine, also known as "The Devil's Breath." It's a substance so intense that it renders a person incapable of exercising free will. The first few days in the country were a harrowing montage of freaked-out dealers and unimaginable horror stories about Scopolamine. After meeting only a few people with firsthand experience, the story took a far darker turn than we ever could have imagined."
What an absolutely brutal video. People talk bluntly about how it affects them, how the body doesn't retain any memory from the affected time frame, and how they are as easily controlled as a child (mind you probably not one of my children.... but still :) ) If you are looking for even more detailed info. Check the Wiki page HERE.
‘You can guide them wherever you want,’ he explained. ‘It’s like they’re a child.’ This drug dealer talks about the uses, and his own personal experiences with the drug.
This woman was a victim and describes some of the things that happened to her.
Scopolamine is made from the Borrachero tree, which blooms with a deceptively beautiful white and yellow flower.
This drug reminds me of the drug used to make "Zombies" in the movie "The Serpent and The Rainbow" oddly enough, based on a true story and one of my favorite near fact films :) I am truly sorry if you get the Twilight Saga Marathon commercial at the beginning of that you tube clip.... nobody deserves that... on a positive note if you have some Scopolamine you can take it right away and the memory will be gone :) Anyway, I read a few articles on this earlier today in Ideas and Discoveries magazine. Not a great magazine, juvenile writing, but definitely interesting story ideas. Anyway, it was on my mind, now it's on yours :) Have a great night!!! DL"

Survival in the coming meltdown....
Hey there, just a quick update of what I've been up to lately. A few weeks ago I started another blog, a wicked mlm marketing strategy that pays out 100% commissions. Best of all it's soooooooooooooo easy to do. So I figured I would start the set up and see what happens. As I spent more and more time looking into the different strategies in traffic, blogging, sales and internet presence (don't worry, it's not really part of the program, I'm just a bit of an overachiever :) )As a change in pace I figured I would touch off on some new items and ideas that have caught my interest lately and drop a few ideas down, and see if anyone has some ideas of their own. So today's touching on a subject my mind turns too every time I we have a major storm, I see a huge dip in the trade situation, or I watch an episode of "The walking dead" :)
Lately even my wife has been dropping a few hints that we should stockpile a few things. Some food and water, possibly a bow, maybe a rifle (a bit of a headache here in Canada, but still do-able) So I've started looking into it and have found a few cool websites, some neat packs and packages (we've already got a years worth of freeze dried egg) and a phenomenal amount of info. I think the biggest deal was making a list of what we needed and not just items, but ideas and chores/jobs to set up and put in motion. So I found something that I figure would fit the need for us. I put a link below, so check it out. A little reading, and whether or not you buy, hold out to the third page :) There's a freebie. Your welcome :) Anyway, this will be a quickie tonight, I have to add to my other page, and get some sleep (6 am comes way to early...)I think sometime soon I'll hit the "What's it take to get a rifle in Canada" job on, and let you know how it goes. Have a great night!!! DL

This might make it simpler :)
https://www.empowernetwork.com/danloewen/
This might make it easier to check what I've been up too. This is the correct link (not that there is anything wrong with the other links, but this is directly to my Empower Blog, not to a sales page. Sorry about that :) Now that I've done something I absolutely despise when people do it to me, I'm checking my links BEFORE I post them :) Anyway another quick night but I'm going to leave you with the names of 3 new books I bought:
American Mensa Guide to Casino Gambling - Winning Waysby Andrew Brisman (An official American Mensa Game Book) I'm actually excited to be reading this one :)
Busting Vegas by Ben Mezrich, about the MIT guys who cracked the casino. I think this will be intriguing to say the least :) and
How to win at gambling by Avery Cardoza, while this doesn't seem so glamorous I'm sure it has gems of wisdom as well.
If they are any good I'll set up an Amazon affiliate account and some links :)Have a great night, and feel free to check my other blog (the link at the top) DL

My attempts at advertising, check my other blog :)
http://www.empowernetwork.com/danloewen/blog/getting-the-word-out/
I'm working on my blog and advertising as well. I'm thinking that CasinoCrushing.com is going to be different than I originally thought. I would love to do the forums and chat room that I was planning. and that still may come, but I think the best step is strictly an informative blog and videos with the newest ideas or musings on gambling. Unless someone would like to help me with the set-up? Hint Hint? :)Anyway, it's going to be a quickie tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow.
Good night!!!

So now what.....
Here's the deal. I am broke. No bullshit, no candy coating and no happy smiley sunshine time. I make money, and as usual it's just enough to pay the basics and not go any further. Don't get me wrong, we don't "need" anything... we have a roof over our heads (and I must say, we have the best rental deal in the city....) we have 2 cars, but usually have to scramble the last couple of days before payday to make sure we have enough money for gas, we have clothes (nothing pricey, usually on sale or from Value-Village or MCC), and we never miss a meal. But that's where it ends... there is no "savings" there is no "Rainy Day or Holiday" fund. There is no RRSP (401k if your to the South), there is no retirement plan.... There is strictly a day in day out same thing to get your paycheque. Now I'm not a pessimist, and I'm not a negative person, but I can't see this ending well without a dramatic change. I honestly think this opportunity is it. If it takes a year to make my first ten sales, so be it. That will be an extra $250 minimum residual income in my pocket per month. What could I do with an extra $250? Breathe a little easier? I mean it's not retirement but it's a step in the right direction. Now I know this doesn't seem like much, but I am looking conservatively because I am really at the "Fish out of water" stage :) Not scared, just a little timid. I know they say it's idiot proof, but I have been known to push the boundary on idiot to new and unimaginable depths of stupid... So shy of really screwing up, I figure $250 is the most basic residual I could honestly expect, for now. What will I do with this windfall? Actually all of my income is slated to be re-introduced into the business. Now here's where I start to get a little excited. Now I have tons to do, and little time to do it in.... but it's what I want. so I am going to keep this journal as a step by step of what I did and how I did it. Hopefully I won't be giving away any trade secrets, but I think it'll be safe. If you haven't checked out the program, I really suggest you do. It's a perfect part time to full time starting point to get you heading in the right direction, so here's the link go take a peek and let me know what you think! :) DL
